A fairly simple thing I wanted to do, to practice yet more brush inking and to show off a collar Angus made for me.

There was a learning curve to this pic. First, I either have ham fists or I need a better brush. Fine lines are a bitch!

Also, I have several art supplies that I had previous thought worthless that actually came in handy. These include a bottle of ink more than ten years old (it moved here with me from PEI) and a nine year old bottle of bleed-proof white that had never seen actual use but was still viable.

The ink had a paste-like thickness that made it ideal for the dark mass of black in the background. Don't ask me shy, but I really enjoy making black masses.
