I figured this would only take a couple of hours.� I forgot, however, to factor in at least an hour of dithering about what to do with the fur and the texture.� It ended up taking about three, not counting time wasted web-surfing.

Initial sketch - let's say two hours.
Touch-ups and flats - an hour and a half.�
Final colors - three hours.
So, about six hours.� Gives me a good baseline for determining costs for commissions.
