My unnamed fennec belly dancer makes his official Habitat debut, only two days after part of his costume snuck into a picture. This isn't his full costume either; I presume some parts have already been flung to the audience.

I've always liked this idea of this character, since fennecs and bely-dancing originated in the same general part of the world. I never did work out a name for him. Send suggstions to the contact at the top of the page.

Hoo boy, this character is an old one. He goes back to about 1997, when I actually took a belly-dancing class. I know, I know, men aren't supposed to belly-dance. That was kind of the point. Besides, it was fun.

Ironically, I had much less belly then.

For the interested, here's a link to the rather elaborate original costume. Caution: old and embarrassingly bad. I wonder, as I look at it now, how did he lift his arm with that huge snake band on it?
