Dear Sirs,
I am moved to write to you regarding your policy of treating patrons as idiots and criminals. Each time I enter your cinema establishment(s), I find myself bombarded by obnoxiously loud advertisments encouraging me to pawn my jewellry and buy some new car. I am then told that stealing movies is wrong. These presentations sometimes seem to last longer than the film itself.

As I have already paid to see the film, it annoys me and enrages me to be solicited and accused in the same breath. Add to this the poor projection quality, the ragged condition of even the newest prints, and the gouging at the concession stand, I find I can no longer enjoy the movie-going experience...

The image was requested by the wuffy, who was at the time drafting a letter much like this one to send to Famous Players. I can't say I disagree with him. If the movie industry wants to know the real reason attendance is down, they should take a long hard look at the constant irritation that is the modern cinema experience.

And yes, the picture's a rush job. I hate it. But it's done.
