The Wuffy asked me earlier today, "Have you drawn any real wuffy-doggies* for your site?"

I had to admit that I hadn't.

"Well, why not?"

I stammered and tried to come up with some reasonable excuse why I avoid drawing actual real quadrapeds. I couldn't. I don't draw real animals because I am scared to, and I haven't practiced them.

So I tried to fix that tonight.

These are malamute studies from photos I found online. The bottom one was kind of rushed but the photo and practice were very valuable. I don't see many extreme upshots on canines and this one was fantastic. I'll probably swipe it again for a better picture later on.

* Wuffy-speak for huskies and malamutes, or any canine that closely resembles a wolf. I use the term quite often as well.
