Ugh! Gum! And a huge glob of it, too! Who puts gum on a running track anyways?
For that matter, who runs a marathon barefoot?
I totally wussed out on this one. It started out just this skinny cheetah. Then it was going to be another guy in a loincloth. The gum was originally supposed to be a thorn. Then I figured I'd skew a little less cliche and go with a marathoner. Then I thought "But why is there a thorn on the track?" Nails r glass made more sense but as I have said before I do not like to torture my characters.
So gum it became.
When I stop to think about it, this pic is symbolic of how I've felt the last week or so. I've been plodding along, happily grinding out art, and then I stepped in some metaphysical gum and got all mentally stuck. Hopefully the effort I put into this pic will help me scrape it off my paws.
That cheetah face is so totally NOT my style and yet somehow it works. Wierd.
