New galvanic generators. New focal energy amplifier. And a shirt. I am ready to fight crime and smash robots! Now if only my fur wouldn't frizz up like that....So I've had superheroes on my mind today. I've been thinking a lot about oldschool.
For one thing, we watched
Sky High today with some friends. I was doodling at the time. After about three seconds into the film, I knew I had to draw the Kirbywolf today. If you have never seen
Sky High, do so. It's amazingly fun. Think
The Incredibles crossed with
The Breakfast Club. It even has the 1980's soundtrack and a guy that looks a lot like Judd Nelson... only this time he has fire powers.
The other olschool influence was the old Macross anime. It's hard to watch now. The animation is a bit embarrassing and it cannot quite shake the spectre of Robotech, but it's still an amazingly fun space yarn. Now that it's available with a proper translation, it even makes sense!
Anyhow, long story short, I needed to draw some Kirby dots. They are sickenly easy to add with Photoshop. Alas, they do look odd next to the pencilled work... but it's three am and I can hear birds chirping outside, so inking loses to my need for sleep.
Whoever sent me the tutorial on Kirby Dots, thanks. This is a massive improvement!
