Ah, Vata as I love him best... flaming, flirty, and fennecy. The things on the hem of his vest are supposed to be coins. I remembered hearing somewhere that belly-dancers would sew coins into their costume. Figured, heck, Vata might as well, hence the title.

I spent a bit of time looking over real fennecs to get the head looking okay. It's not quite a real one but it's a little closer than I usually draw him.

The costume was inspired by an Eric Elliott picture he only just posted. It was a female belly-dancer in a costume much more elaborate than this, and it reminded me that I only rarely seem to draw Vata wearing actual clothes. Again... this doesn't quite qualify but it's more than usual.

What do you call those things on his legs? I think static cling is all that's keeping those them up.
