So this is what it has come to. I've gotten tired of sexy guys and now I'm desperately seeking inspiration in... sports.
SPORTS.
I hate sports.
But in looking up reference for this, I realized that if ever I wanted action poses free and plenty, sports is the place to look. It's a measure of my geekitude that I had never thought of this before.
Also.
I need to admit something to myself and the world at large: art had been an anxious chore for the last couple of weeks. It's kind of been going on since the beginning of October, but it kicked into overdrive a couple weeks ago.� I took some good advice, and in my usual way, transmuted it into harsh criticism. I've been grinding myself against stones that aren't there.
Metaphorically speaking.
But yeah... the fun's been missing. Deadlines for zines, anxiety about quality, blahblahblah... draining.
The point of this rant is that I need to take some chill time. Not a break from the site, mind you. If I stop, I might leave it sit for months. That's not a good plan. No. I need to re-freaking-LAX. Draw things because they are fun and forget about mechanics for a while.
We'll see how that works out.
