Hiker is Away at Feral! Day 1
Okay, another hitchhiker. I guess the site is earning its name.
What happened to prompt this: My friend Lutris was supposed to arrive on a flight this evening at around 5:45 pm. I was at the airport to meet him. Then my cell phone rang. Turns out he'd been turned back at Customs in the US for not having enough ID.
Riduculous. But as I thought about him in that situation and the stress it entailed, the image of him getting to Canada by any means thrust itself upon me.
FYI, the backpack shown here is not an exaggeration. I've actually seen him wear it with an auxiliary suitcase-sized front attachment.
