Away At Feral Day 2
Remember those sketches of
Manwolf/Stargod from way, way back in May? About two weeks ago I finally got around to finishing that painting. Here's a photo of how it turned out.
It's not bad considering it's my first real stab at a human figure. It's really quite vivid in person, which is fine with me. The pallette was directly inspired by the four-color comic hues of the source material.
I just wish I'd been able to capture the same level of detail that's in the original costume. Then again, I suspect most artists would have trouble painting Stargod. My theory is that George Perez creates these
complex costumes specifically to annoy other artists.
Created as a birthday present for the world's biggest Manwolf fan.
