Tonight I wanted to try out some new toys.

Earlier today I picked up some stuff at Curry's. They were, in case anyone cares, a couple of synthetic brushes, a new nib holder, and a pair of crow-quill nibs.

A crow-quill nib is something I only just discovered, and I feel like an idiot for not learning about them sooner. Unlike a regular dippin' nib, they're barrel-shaped. They're strong, and sharp, and make it MUCH easier for a hamfisted inker like me to draw fine lines.

I was so excited by the possibility of playing with these new trinkets that I completely blocked up and couldn't think of anything to draw and then ink.

I managed to get this one out only by forcing myself.

To summarize: I like these new nibs, and the new brush is good to. I hope to apply them well in the future.
