Saint Rowsby was beatified for his brave defense of the faith.� Faced with a horde of pagans who threatened to burn his holy books (which were printed on delicious sheepskin parchment), Rowsby consumed them himself rather than allow them to be desecrated.

At least, that was HIS version of the story, and no one ever managed to find evidence to the contrary.
