I visited the Royal Ontario Museum with some friends today. Guess which section we spent the most time drooling over?

Medieval armor was hot, heavy, and all but unbearable. Full plate armor is more than just a -2 to your armor class, kids. Hence, Caiden is dressed for mobility. I suspect most people in those days wore bits and pieces, anyways.

Two trivial side notes: First, Caiden is a name I used frequently in the old NES Dragon Warrior games. I don't know where I got it from. This is the first time I've used it for a character.

Second: according to my observations at the ROM, medieval people where TINY. Imagine four-to-five foot tall people carrying six foot swords. The difference in scale boggles the mind. I guess humanity has undergone a growth spurt.
