Three inportant things I realized while doing today's sketch:

1: While I've had pics with Valdt in them, I've never actually given him a solo pic. Also, both times he appeared he didn't really look like himself. This pic aims to correct that oversight.

2: Using reference can be as frustrating as making it all up yourself. In this case I had a reference of a guy taking off a leather jacket. It looked fine at first, but then as I drew I realized that one leg was in a position that made no sense and could not be guessed from the attitude of the part visible. So if Valdt looks like he's jumping a bench instead of balancing on it, that's why.

3: I have actually been posting most of my scans at a larger size than the original art. This has the effect of magnifying flaws and undersketches. If I reduce them to actual size, tho, they sometimes end up very small. I don't know what trade-off to make.

Anyhow, long notes for such a mundane pic. Sorry.
