The young wolf's elder brother waits for word that the rite of passage is over. The pendant in his right hand is a family sigil, unadorned. The youngster will earn further adornments for success in the hunt.

His brother's pendant reflects the glories earned in the hunts that scarred his chest and leg.

I'm going to have to start naming characters soon. This tribe's up to three individuals so far (the shaman included) and as yet none of them is named. I know what their names would mean, if I'd invented a language, but I haven't yet.

I'm reminded of a wolfen character I played in AD&D once. His name was a nasal growl-cough. The human characters (and their players) couldn't pronounce it, but I could. It roughly transcribed as 'Rwyn.' I've been pondering a similar idea for this tribe's language.

As if 'Valdt' and 'Illchor' and 'Ilia' weren't hard enough to pronounce... :D
