The doorbell tolled. It stirred George from his dozing read. It was a little late for Trick-or-Treaters, wasn't it? Still half asleep he stumbled to answer the door and forestall an egging.

But it was no mere child begging for candy. There on George's front stoop was a small, black abomination... a creature of unholy cuteness, with souless white fire for eyes and a grin of pure malicious intent...

Suggested by the wolfy, executed by me in mere minutes. I was feeling a bit melanchol and stressed out, so I wanted to get this done before I had a chance to think myself out of it. It's rushed, but fun, I think...

It galls me to realize that I've been so self-absorbed this month that I totally forgot to celebrate Halloween.
