The Iditarod is a little different in furry Alaska. The mushers don't need parkas, for one thing. I imagine for them it's rather like the Boston Marathon, but with a sled.
This one was unfortunately messy. It just kept getting more and more smudged. By the time I'd blocked it in I didn't much feel like adding a harness; it would have involved making things even messier. I almost didn't add the guy with the thermos for the same reason. In the end I did and I'm glad, because the pic makes no sense without him.
Not that it makes much sense as is. I can't help but wonder... if this husky's the musher, who or what is pulling the sled?
