at times the mind chatters away when sober thought is required. To settle the voices within, clarity is needed. For clarity, one needs focus. For focus, one must eliminate distractions.Clinking armor and confining clothing are very distracting. And so, in the vast empty hall, Jacob knelt nearly naked, trying to concentrate on the matter at hand. This image was born of a deep disatisfaction with the art of the past week, a really nice reference photo, and my current preoccupation with learning the mysteries of perspective. The background was laid out on a sheet of scrap and then transferred by light box. Unfortunately, time and my own distracted mind meant I rushed the transfer. Still... it's mostly alright. Although those are pretty low arches now that I look at it.
