Inspired by a combination of factors.
Paradox pulled my tail and started asking me to draw more women, for one. She wanted new characters as well, which made me panic.� I don't usually set out to create characters, they just HAPPEN.
But I prefer to produce results rather than excuses.� So I hauled out the paper and pulled up some reference and started in. As things went along I started thinking about some of my favorite female characters.
Which led me to
Kotobuki Ran, Super Gal.
I'm a fan of the anime, largely on the strength of Ran herself.� Every inch a tomboy, dedicated to what many mispercieve as a shallow, trashy lifestyle... and god cannot help you if you hurt her friends.
I like to think I share some of those qualities...and thus I slimmed the figure down, added trashy, gal-like accessories, and called it a sketch.
Now, if I can only figure out why my favorite women are tomboys and ass-kickers, and my favorite guys are all so femme!
