Veiled... but not exactly well-covered. Eep.

After a long talk with Paradox tonight, I've realized that I have a real double-standard in my art. I draw males way more than females. Duh. The reason for that is obvious: Totally gay.

But when I do draw females, I never draw them like I draw the males. My guys are almost all boytoys, sexy and svelte, no matter what they are doing. They could be hunting or sleeping or whatever, and I'll draw them as hawt and near-nekkid as possible.

But the females, when they appear at all, are always gung-ho, warrior chicks. They are modestly covered, tomboyish. Strong. Not toys. I try really hard not to to sexualize or objectify them. You don't get Mayda looking sultry; you get her looking defiant, hungry, sleepy... but not sexy.

And that's not fair. If the boys are going to be objects, then damnit, so can the girls.

And so here is a picture to try and balance out the double standard. I have learned much tonight. Not least of which is: women are really hard to draw.
