Another quickie; this one was about twenty minutes all told.

I've been trying to get used to a new kind of pencil technique. I tend to draw everything in blue pencil, then go over that in sharp, sharp mechanical pencil. The result looks very clean and slick... after I spend ten minutes tweaking it in Photoshop.

So I've decided to try something from a comics master, Joe Kubert. He recommends using very hard pencils with a gentle touch for the underly sketch and then filling in details with a softer, sharper pencil.

That's what I did here. The undersketch is 3H pencil, tightened with 2H, then fluffed with a nice blunt 2B woodless for a hint of depth.

This is a pretty stock pose for me. I do like the face, however. Fluffy, fluffy ears.
